After decades of offshore exploration, Suriname has made significant offshore hydrocarbon discoveries over the course of 2020 and 2021. These discoveries have intensified the offshore exploration and appraisal efforts of various license holders and provide a positive outlook for initial and subsequent offshore developments. As a prime stakeholder Staatsolie has decided to dedicate a special web page to local content. As developments are in a very preliminary stage, currently Staatsolie will inform other stakeholders of interesting (envisioned) developments as to provide interested parties information for early move into the Surinamese market. Staatsolie\u2019s local content department is thereby open to engage with serious counterparts to provide any information. This will always be done on a level playing field basis.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The\u00a0presentation<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0recording<\/a>\u00a0are available.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n https:\/\/www.staatsolie.com\/media\/s2khgvyv\/webinarlocalconetento-g_september1_2021.pdf<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Through this local content service forum Total Exploration & Production Suriname B.V.\u00a0 provided information about: Current and upcoming operational activities in Suriname; Total\u2019s local content strategy; Total\u2019s contractual strategy and process in Suriname (including the pre-qualification process, the standards and the compliance requirements); Two-year outlook.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n In 2018, the international consultant DAI Global Inc. carried out the\u00a0Industrial Baseline Study<\/a>\u00a0on behalf of Staatsolie and its offshore partners.
