The Operator/Plant attendant will be responsible for maintaining the safe and reliable operation of the Terminal, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations. This role involves (un)loading of petroleum products, bunkering of vessels, gauging tanks, sampling products in accordance with the company’s operational and HSE guidelines, performing quality control checks and routine maintenance checks at the Operations Terminal.

Key Responsibilities

- Provides general assistance at the Terminal to maintain a safe, reliable and effective operation of the terminal equipment.
- Performs required company and regulatory agency checks, inspections, and tests on equipment and fuel quality.
- Completes all the necessary paperwork related to these activities and other safety activities.
- Aligning tanks for the daily operations and document operational data such as available stock and temperature. This also includes observing anomalies with gauges, valves, switches, and other indicators to ensure all operational equipment are working properly.
- Assists with the safe loading of customer and company vessels, trucks and vehicles.
- Assists with tanker receipts/discharges as required.
- Performs preventive and routine maintenance checks on various operating equipment including, but not limited to, safety equipment, pumps, valves, meters, compressors, motors, tanks, pipes, terminal buildings and documents all activities in the electronic maintenance program.

Qualifications and Experience

- Secondary school diploma including Mathematics and English.
- A relevant technical certificate.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Experience in the petroleum industry would be an asset.
