local content noun

the materials, workers, etc. used to make a product that are from the area where the product is made rather than being imported: All three car manufacturers claim that they use 60-80% local content.

local content rules/requirements The local content rules state that where imported parts account for more than 60% of the value of a final vehicle, those parts are taxed.
