What are the goals of the LCDO?
Goal 1 – Inventory
Creating a comprehensive online index to inventory all locally available services and products in Suriname, providing a clear overview for consumers and producers.
Goal 2 – Awareness
Using various media channels, events, seminars, and exhibitions to increase awareness and understanding of the economic spin-off of the oil and gas industry.
Goal 3 – Business Opportunities
Establishing the platform as a marketplace where both consumers and producers can present and market their products and services.
Goal 4 – Development Initiatives
Empowering individuals by organizing workshops, training sessions, and educational programs aimed at improving skills and knowledge within communities.
Goal 5 – Local Content Academy
Setting up an academy to teach local content and develop prototypes of sustainable communities.
Promotion of social inclusivity and diversity
The overall goal of the LCDO is thus to promote social inclusivity and diversity.
The foundation aims to support micro-entrepreneurs by making them more visible, giving them access to a much broader audience. By presenting themselves on the world wide web, they can be found all over the world.
Additionally, the foundation will organize scholarships and exhibitions focused on micro-enterprises and Small and Midsize Enterprises (SMEs).
Furthermore, the foundation offers support to:

- and local events.
